As we enter 2007 the number of US Troops killed in Iraq pass 3000 - who knows how many innocent Iraqis have been killed. I guess this signifies the trend for 2007 as well, another newsyear overwhelmed by signs of the Americans complete inability to "get" the middle east, and to figure out what to do with it. Or maybe as important - what *not* to do with it.
